Lviv Railways call for attention

Thursday February 11, 2016According to Lviv Railways data, there have already been casualties at the sites and facilities of transport infrastructure as of February 1. From the beginning of the year, there were injured six people, four of them being killed.
The railway officials emphacize that all these accidents happened because of safety rules violations. Most often people get injured when they cross tracks at undesignated spots.
Comparing the statistics on accidents for the past several years, the increase of their number becomes evident. Thus, in 2015 here were injured 111 people at stations and on tracks of Lviv Railways, 62 of them being killed. In 2014 there were injured 99 people, with 56 of them killed.
Due to trendy and dangerous amusements, teenagers keep dying: in 2015, there were injured 8 minors under 16 years of age, 5 of them being killed.
The Lviv Railway authorities strongly advise to follow safety rules on trains, platforms, near the tracks and level crossings and not endanger your life and health.
